An ergonomic hold that is completely intuitive to grip and step on. The relaxed hand rest
facilitates natural muscle movement, gripping and holding.
The large area between front and back, with its pronounced incut/undercut makes gripping
easier.
Its symmetry eliminates the need for cognitive di erentiation between right and left.
Thanks to its very smooth texture, the Universal Hold is also extremely comfortable as a
foothold. This is even true when climbing with gym or barefoot shoes or in cases of
polyneuropathy (a nerve disorder that can lead to sensory disturbances).
Using the Universal Hold as a complete set allows for climbing routes without additional
handholds or footholds, making climbing accessible for people with severe physical or cognitive
disabilities.
Even for route setters who have little or no experience with inclusive route setting, it allows for
an easy set-up of a highly usable route, minimizing the risk of error. A genuine relief for climbers
and route setters alike.
